The Carnatic Music Vocal Class was inaugurated on 5th December 2025 by Vidushi Smt. Girija Govinda Bhat, a renowned Carnatic music teacher. The inaugural function was presided over by Prof. Venkatesh Perumal, Dean – Planning & Development (P&D).

The occasion was graced by the presence of Vidwan Shri Ramesh Rao and Prof. T. Laxminidhi, adding distinction to the event.

The inauguration was followed by a delightful vocal rendition by Ms. Sudiksha, Mr. Harishith Kumar, and Dr. Sreekumar M, senior students of Vidushi Smt. Girija Govinda Bhat, captivating the audience with their soulful performance.
The classes are conducted weekly on Wednesday at 4:30 PM, and take place on the Gound Floor of the SRC. The classes are being conducted by Sh Vidushi Smt. Girija Govinda Bhat
